The web services produced by Edwin are ideal for importing live data to user-interface applications such as Crystal Xcelsius interactive dashboards or InfoPath forms. All data-sources accessible via OLE-DB are supported, which includes the vast majority of popular databases. Edwin will automatically create a large set of Web methods that allow you to perform many typical data procedures such as browsing or searching through data records, adding records, removing records and updating records. Web services can be created to perform almost any data-retrieval or data-modification task. Edwin's data-layer creation wizard allows any database stored procedure to be published as a Web service. The Web services may be hosted by Edwin's Web Interface or exported to a web server such as IIS or Apache. Version 1.9.1 features support for Excel spreadsheet data-sources.
