It will not only protect your PDFs with passwords but will also allow or disallow a wide range of access options and changes, such as printing, copying, signing, merging, assembling, filling, or extracting files. It also decrypts PDFs, with the right password, and verifies the passwords of protected files.This tool's interface is well-laid-out, with clear field descriptors and well-labeled buttons. It's easy to use, too, so much so that we actually looked for a Help file just to see if there was one, but there wasn't. There's Web-based assistance via a link on the interface, though, and most of what you need to know is right on the tool. Blank fields for everything from file name to author, creator, and producer complement a series of checkboxes for allowing changes like printing and control buttons. We opened a file, checked our options, pressed Encrypt, and Encryptor Decryptor pretty much instantaneously saved the resulting file to our chosen directory, displaying a small "Success!" dialog to confirm it. The Verify Password feature is neat and useful, too.GetPDF Encryptor Decryptor is free to try for 15 days and is ready for Vista and Windows 7. For businesses or anyone who regularly handles or exchanges sensitive PDF documents, it's the sort of tool that makes good sense to look into.
