A recent leak from the Genshin Impact beta servers highlights the new Signature Weapons for Mavuika and Citlali coming in Version 5.3. While it's crucial for Genshin Impact players to ascend characters and equip them with the right Artifact Sets, having a good weapon shouldn't be underestimated. Many of the Signature Weapons in Genshin Impact are not only powerful fits for their intended wielder but also serve as strong alternatives for other characters.
While this makes certain Signature Weapons more valuable, the recent changes made to the Weapon Banner in Genshin Impact have significantly streamlined the process of obtaining a chosen weapon. Since Version 5.0, players only need to gather one fate point to guarantee a Signature Weapon, and the developers haven't been shy about offering up some enticing combos – the most recent example being the bows of Chasca and Lyney.

Version 5.3 will introduce Citlali and Mavuika to the playable cast of Genshin Impact characters, and it's no secret that players have been especially excited. As the Pyro Archon, Mavuika is expected to bring plenty of personal power to the table, but what's especially curious is her Signature Weapon. Much like the Raiden Shogun did for Polearm characters in Genshin Impact, Mavuika's Signature Weapon is speculated to be a universal option as a Claymore. On the other hand, players are less keen on Citlali's Catalyst for anything beyond being an alternative option for Baizhu. The visuals of the Signature Weapons for Citlali and Mavuika were shared by Kei-Luna, but players can also see the stats thanks to HomDGCat.
The Signature Weapon for Mavuika in Genshin Impact is fittingly flashy, and from a visual standpoint, the claymore seems to evoke themes of sun and fire. By contrast, Citlali's design is far more subdued, as the Catalyst appears to be inspired by a totem pole. In terms of gameplay value, A Thousand Blazing Suns will be a desirable weapon for most Claymore characters. In fact, early theorycrafting speculates that it may be Navia's best alternative to Verdict.
While there is always a chance that either Signature Weapon will receive changes over the course of the beta, one thing that players should keep in mind is how the weapons will be paired up on the banners in Version 5.3. According to the latest data, Arlecchino and Mavuika will headline the first half of the patch, while Citlali in Genshin Impact is speculated to feature alongside either Xianyun or Xiao, with the former option being preferable. This would make the Weapon Banner extremely valuable during the first phase of Version 5.3, at the expense of the second phase having more specialized Signature Weapons. Version 5.3 is set to launch on January 1, 2025.
